Ughi e Nunziante with Todarello & Partners has advised Global Student Accommodation (GSA), a global leader in purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA), on the acquisition of the Trentacoste development site in Milan. The seller, ADL Milano 1 S.r.l., was advised by Legance and SI – Studio Inzaghi.
The transaction marks GSA’s entry into the Italian market and is a step forward in the company executing its strong investment pipeline as it builds scale across key Italian and European cities.
The Trentacoste site is located in a prime area of Milan, close to the student neighborhoods of Citta Studi and Lambrate, a short walk to the Leonardo campus of Italy’s largest university, Politecnico di Milano, and the University of Milan’s Citta Studi campus. The development will deliver a modern student housing space with 515 beds, alongside student-focused facilities including a café, gym, social and study spaces, a terrace, and large public piazza. The project will meet the growing demand for student accommodations in Italy by providing modern, high-quality living solutions.
GSA is a leader in real estate asset management within the student housing sector, with an unrivalled international presence, active across ten countries with assets in 73 of the world’s leading educational cities. They manage over $6bn assets across the U.S., Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
ADL Milano 1 is a unit of Guardian Real Estate Fund III, a Luxembourg fund, which provides investment opportunities in commercial real estate, primarily in the European Union and in the United Kingdom.
