PRESS RELEASE

Ughi e Nunziante announces with pleasure the integration into the firm of Clemente & Partners, a boutique firm specializing in the field of Intellectual Property, and comprised of its founder, Agostino Clemente, and Amy Louise Hamilton, Francesca Maschio, and Angelo Davide Marra.

Agostino Clemente, professor of commercial law at the University of Rome – “La Sapienza” as well as the University of Aquila, is the President of Cartoon Italia, the association of Italian animation companies, and is the legal counsel of Rainbow, the animation company leaded by Iginio Straffi, the creator of the worldwide phenomenon of the Winx Club. He is an expert in the fields of Intellectual Property law and licensing. At Ughi e Nunziante he will devote his expertise to leading their IP and Media Department.

Ughi e Nunziante boasts a well-established practice in the television and film industry, counting among its clients numerous multinational groups.

Agostino Clemente explains his decision to merge his practice with Ughi e Nunziante: “As the film and television industry continues to develop throughout the world, practitioners must combine an expertise in the industry with specialized knowledge in the fields of corporate governance, finance, and tax. From this perspective, the world class team at Ughi e Nunziante promises unparalleled legal support”.

Roberto Leccese, speaking on behalf of the partners of the firm’s Rome Office notes: “Clemente & Partners’ established expertise within the Italian market will compliment Ughi e Nunziante’s proven experience in assisting multinational companies, and will provide a powerful synergy. Ughi e Nunziante and Clemente & Partners share a common approach based on personal relationships, customer trust, high levels of organization, and the constant pursuit of excellence. These factors ensure that this merger will provide a dynamic addition to one of Italy’s oldest law firms.

Ughi e Nunziante currently has 11 partners and 6 of counsel, including professors Pietro Rescigno and Piero Bernardini.
